Located south of downtown San Francisco, UCSF Mission Bay offers multiple parking options and is accessible by public transportation.

Public Transportation at Mission Bay:


UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay is accessible via the Muni T-line, which stops at 3rd Street and Gene Friend Way.

Parking at Mission Bay:


Research participants will receive a parking sticker that validates parking for 24 hours in the garages listed below.

UCSF's Mission Bay campus has several public parking facilities, with more under construction. Currently, public parking options include:

•  1625 Owens St. Garage, located next to the Mission Bay Community Center.

•  1630 Third St. Garage, located just north of 16th Street.

•  1500 Owens St. Surface lot, available for visitors to the UCSF Language Clinic at Mission Bay.

UCSF Shuttles:


Free UCSF shuttles travel between the Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses as well as other UCSF locations.

•  The shuttle departs from Parnassus in front of Kalmanovitz Library at 530 Parnassus Ave.

•  At Mission Bay, the shuttle departs from the shuttle stops on 4th St., between 16th St. and Gene Friend Way.

•  The first shuttle of the day leaves Parnassus at 6:45 a.m.

•  The last shuttle of the day leaves Parnassus at 8:45 p.m.
